TVR Griffith : With this historic name, TVR reverts to 70 years from the start of his adventure, and 11 from the factory closure, presenting the new sport at Goodwood Revival . Griffith is now ready for serial production, anticipated by a long series of teaser in the past few months and by numerous technical details able to tickle curiosity of enthusiasts. The Launch Edition (500 total copies already partially booked) is proposed starting at around £ 90,000, equal to approximately 98,200 euros at the current exchange rate, and will be delivered between the end of 2018 and the beginning of 2019.
500 HP, 1,250 kg, 322 km / h. The recipe to return to propose a TVR worthy of the brand DNA is a mix of classic and modern that takes on very clear and personal outlines. Gordon Murray\’s signature on the iStream design and platform, with steel tubes and carbon fiber panels, brings lightweightness and aerodynamic efficiency (with side discharge to release the bottom and extractor), while the powertrain is simple and effective: a 5.0-liter V8 aspirated V8 by Cosworth, a manual six-speed manual gearbox and rear traction. The weight distribution is 50:50, the total mass does not exceed 1,250 kg: so the Griffith is capable of touching 100 km / h in less than 4 seconds with a peak of 322 km / h.
A TVR with ESP had never been seen. In front of a very compact bodywork (4.31 meters total), the cockpit abandoned the look of the 90\’s to offer a more classical ergonomics, adopting digital displays for instrumentation and infotainment. At the same time they make their debut devices now indispensable, such as ABS, traction control and ESP, never seen before TVR home. L.Cor.
