In the first seven months of 2018, the growth of the market for new passenger cars (VP) amounts to 6.3% compared to 2017, announces the Committee of French Manufacturers of Automobiles (CCFA). A total of 1,363,546 passenger cars have been registered since the beginning of the year. As always, we find the Renault Clio on the top step of the podium, with 77,781 copies sold. The French girl is even paying the luxury of dropping her direct competitor, the Peugeot 208 , which has passed only 63,390 units over the same period. Almost 15,000 units now separate the two French city cars.
The Peugeot 3008 SUVcontinues to ride the wave of its success with 53,725 copies sold in the first seven months of the year. He remains in third place on the podium and is awarded almost 4% of market share! The Citroën C3 remains in fourth place, while the Peugeot 2008 is doubled by the Dacia Sandero . The gap between the two is nevertheless very small, with only 733 difference units. Note that the Romanian is the only foreign car in this Top 10.
