Once is not customary, we are not going to speak of yet another record awarded by a builder on the famous North Nürburgring loop. Today, go with BMW on the side of China, and more precisely on the Shanghai circuit, where the new BMW M5 has just set itself a new record. Indeed, it has just completed the lap of the track in just 2 minutes 22 seconds and 828 thousandths, the best time ever achieved by a standard four-door sedan on this route.

For the occasion, the driver Bruno Spengler was responsible for taking the car to its entrenchments. The climatic conditions were not really optimal, moreover, to win such a record. The Canadian driver was impressed by the balance, power and torque of the car. Great praise from a title driver in the 2012 DTM Championship.
