At a time when many new SUVs and new or deeply revised debut are debuting, Lexus also plays its card with the 2018 edition of the Lexus NX 300h . Aesthetically, it is recognized only by the slight maquillage of the front and tail, but under the clothes there are refinements and new systems designed to enhance comfort, safety and functionality. However, it does not change the indole since the Lexus completely reaffirms its confidence in the propulsion system that drives it since its debut. It is made up of a 2.5-liter 155-liter Atkinson cycle petrol engine and an electric motor with 141 hp, which develop a total of 197 hp .
More rigor and more comfort. From the driving seat of the renewed Lexus NX 300h, it is more affected by the behavior than by the temperament. In fact, the first is surprising both for agility and reliability, but does not impose sacrifices on the front of comfort, thanks to the rearrangement of the setup of the set, which in one stroke makes the car less inclined to roll and more gradual to absorb the roughness of the road. The new regulations affect both monotaring and adaptive suspension versions, which, moreover, take on more accurate electronic data collection and more timely in absorbing the most marked road irregularities.
It prefers sobriety . Comfort is only slightly reduced in sudden accelerations or when sudden speed changes are required because the 6-speed manual gearbox E-Cvt does not quickly match the throttle demands with the propulsion system response and triggers noise. On the other hand, the new thermal motor mounts completely neutralize the vibrations. The propulsion system, if well exploited, ensures in the traffic of the city the ability to move easily in electric mode, zero emissions, thanks also to the fact that the batteries recharge pretty quickly in the deceleration and braking phases. The NX 300h is not surprising for liveliness even when the settings of theDrive Mode Select S and S (available only on versions with adaptive suspensions), thus highlighting how the hybrid power unit has been defined to favor, above all, the containment of fuel consumption and driving fluidity.
Safer and more connected. The update brings the Lexus NX 300h into dense technology-rich enrichment. In fact, all versions adopt the Safety System package, which includes adaptive cruise control and precooling functions, lane deviation warning with steering wheel assist, full-led Led control and signal recognition. In the passenger compartment, upgrading is transmitted through the revision of everything that concerns connectivity. The infotainment system features a 10.3 “ and offers a new graphics, a more generous control trackpad than the past – but, secondly, we\’re still fit for instinctivity – and the new charging base for their devices. The latter takes on a size that can accommodate even the most robust ones, the spread of which is constantly growing.
Redefined family with eco-bonus. The new edition of the NX 300h is available in four outfits, including the Business that also offers the option of opting for a front-wheel drive and the top of the Luxury range next to the reconfirmed Executive and F-Sport. Prices range from 47,500to 58,950 euros, but driving a diesel car the Lexus offers a bonus ranging from 7,000 to 9,000euros.
