The body is painted in a gray-blue color called “Barcelona Gray Liquid” and has several elements made of carbon fiber, such as the rear aerodynamic diffuser or some parts of the grill. The alloy wheels are 21 inches in diameter, while the headlights use laser technology
The interior is made of materials such as aluminum (doors and dashboard), leather (seat upholstery and door panels), carbon fiber (front seat frame and decorative trim) or even Swarovski crystal (IDrive control of the multimedia system and shift lever).
BMW already used the name “Serie 8” in another model with a coupe body that was on sale between 1989 and 1999.
