Audi has unveiled the new generation of A7, but the brand rings remains for the moment the secret on the sports version RS7. A car at the end of preparation that would house the hybrid engine of the Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid of almost 700 hp.
Audi is currently finishing the development of the new RS7 , since some prototypes have been surprised lately on the roads. The sporty version of the new A7 should be launched next year, and for the first time on this model, Audi will give the choice of motorization to customers.
If the V8 4.0 biturbo already seems ready to seduce those who want only thermal, there will be a great novelty with the arrival of a hybrid version. And not just any, since our colleagues from Evo had the confirmation of a hybrid RS7 taking over the mechanics of the Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid.
As a reminder, on the Panamera, the V8 4.0 biturbo is associated with an electric motor for a power that is close to 700 hp. Group logic requires, Audi takes advantage of Porsche\’s progress in terms of engine for the new RS7 which is already announced as very powerful. And efficient, too (according to the homologation cycle, obviously, but much less in practice) with a more favorable CO2 balance.
The client of the Audi RS7 will be able, next year, to perform a few tens of kilometers without noise aboard a sedan of almost 700 hp. Until the batteries are empty and the V8 takes over.
