Porsche was surprised to test prototypes for the next generation of 911.
More recently, spy photographers grabbed the 992 convertible that have undergone hot weather testing, and now they have managed to capture two different prototype cuts testing nearby and near the Nurburgring. A prototype seems to be the standard 911 model, while the other is used to test probably the wider Turbo model. There is still some development work going on on how test cars are not refined, but they are in their natural habitat, which is on the track.
Although the style for the 911 will not change dramatically, as has been the case for years, it is rumored to roll on a new platform that will be shared with the next generation Audi R8 and Lamborghini Huracan. You can also expect to see the eight-speed PDK transmission found in the Panamera to find its way to the new 911.
Look for the Porsche 911 2019 to make its debut next year.
